Musical Performance
Erin McKeown: 2 pm walk with Erin, 2:30 pm performance
Songwriter, guitarist, and outdoor enthusiast Erin McKeown will lead an optional 30-minute walk around the grounds of Steepletop prior to their performance under the maple trees above the Kitchen Garden. Drawing from more than 25 years of creating original music, McKeown will perform an hour-long totally acoustic set of songs that comment on the wonder and mystery of nature, the complexities of love, and the details of a creative life. They will also perform selections from their 2018 musical, “Miss You Like Hell,” written with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Quiara Alegría Hudes, whose title is drawn from a Millay letter.
Bring your camp chairs and sensible walking shoes! The optional walk will cover some rolling, hilly, and uneven terrain. In case of inclement weather, McKeown will perform under a tent near the Millay House. This will be Erin McKeown’s first performance at Steepletop.
