Musical Performance

Erin McKeown: 2 pm walk with Erin, 2:30 pm performance

Songwriter, guitarist, and outdoor enthusiast Erin McKeown will perform at 2:30pm under the tent by the Millay House. In advance of their performance (meeting at 2pm at the Visitor’s Center), McKeown will lead an optional 30-minute walk around the grounds of Steepletop.

Drawing from more than 25 years of creating original music, McKeown will perform an hour-long totally acoustic set of songs that comment on the wonder and mystery of nature, the complexities of love, and the details of a creative life. They will also perform selections from their 2018 musical, “Miss You Like Hell,” written with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Quiara Alegría Hudes, whose title is drawn from a Millay letter.

Seating is available under the tent. Camp chairs and blankets are welcome. The optional walk will cover some rolling, hilly, and uneven terrain, so please wear sensible walking shoes. This will be Erin McKeown’s first performance at Steepletop.
